Shona McAteer Wins Anti-Bullying Prize
NI Anti-Bullying Forum
Well done to Shona McAteer who has been named as one of the winners in this year’s Anti-Bullying Campaign. Shona will receive her prize on Monday 13th November 2017 in Belfast City Hall. Well done Shona! "I received an email from Mrs Cassidy our school Principal letting me know that I was a runner up in the P5-P7 category of the anti-bullying competition in which 2000 Northern Ireland school children took part. I was very excited to know that I would be receiving my prize at Belfast City Hall and my parents would be coming with me. It was a very interesting day with lots of other school children attending. |
I got to take photos of my art alongside Rosanna Jack, Head of NI Anti-Bullying Forum and Nuala Mc Allister, Lord Mayor of Belfast. We got to see all the lovely artwork and watched some brilliant videos about bullying. My art was a 3D piece. It was an emoji jigsaw with clay children from lots of different countries on each piece. The middle piece of the jigsaw sat off to one side showing us that a picture needs every piece (child) to complete the picture. My prize was a £50 High Street Voucher which I am looking forward to spending."
