Burren Minors Visit Carrick After the Ulster Final
After the great win on New Year’s Day the Minor team came back to school to celebrate being crowned Ulster Club Minor Football tournament champions at St Paul's as they overcame Kilrea in a seven-goal thriller, Burren 4-8 Kilrea 3-5.
Fiachra McGuinness a P7 pupil brought in his drone and recorded the celebrations. Eimear Cassidy and Dara Mussen read some limericks as part of the assembly. Mr Kieran congratulated the team and management on behalf of the Board of Governors and Mr Paul Fegan Club Chairman and Mr Neil Coulter Team Manager thanked all the boys and girls for their great support to the players, who were then presented with a certificate to commemorate the event.

Burren Minors It was 1st January 2017 When Burren Minors had to field the best fifteen. An Ulster Final was the ultimate prize For our club to make history with honour and pride. The match had it all with highs and lows Great skill and teamwork along with seven goals! All of the team they all played their parts With a hard fought contest we are top of the charts. Burren Minors they are history makers We have now completed the clean sweep. Every championship Burren has now won Our history runs deep. |
