Friends of Carrick
What is Friends of Carrick?
Friends of Carrick was set up in 1994 by a group of parents who were keen to support the education and welfare of all the children of the school. This year marks our 20th Anniversary.

The Aims of Friends of Carrick:
To enable parents and friends of the school to contribute to the education of the children 
To keep parents informed and up-to-date with the changing demands in the school:
To provide a social link between Parents/Carers and staff. 

A message from Mrs Anne Cassidy

The school needs additional resources for those extras, which are beyond the scope of our LMS budget. Thanks to Friends of Carrick, over the past few years, our school has been able to purchase items such as digital cameras, novels, dictionaries, a new reading scheme and play equipment (indoor and outdoor). The fundraising and social activities of Friends of Carrick allow the school to fully support the education of all the children at the school. We look forward to the continued support of all the parents for our planned events in the coming year. Details of the proposed activities will be sent home to each family and will also be advertised on the school’s website. On behalf of our Governors, our staff, our pupils and parents, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Friends of Carrick for their commitment and invaluable support.

P1 Skipping Event
On Friday 16th June 2023, the pupils from Carrick PS enjoyed a Sponsored Skipping Event. The children had been practising for weeks at home and in school and made great progress with their skipping skills.
The children raised over £5000 for school funds which was terrific! The children enjoyed ice pops (sponsored by Mr and Mrs Gary Mc Polin) and cookies/juice (sponsored by Friends of Carrick).
