Autism & ADHD Parents' Support Group
My name is Marilyn McGaffin, I work in the GP Multi-Disciplinary Team with Social Work - within the SHSCT I am based in Warrenpoint Health Centre 2 days per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
My role within the service is to provide community development within areas that have been identified with need through the GP and resources.
During my time in Warrenpoint there has been a large pattern with requests from parents alike - for information with Autism, ADHD and the referral processes inclusive of support and carer stress etc.
I'm delighted to update you that we have worked within the community, of Warrenpoint and designed a community group to support parents who require information, support, validation and help with any aspect of their journey with their child and families alike.
I have enclosed an attachment of our new Connected Parents Group " parents supporting parents" if you would share with the parents and individuals within the area, I would be most grateful and appreciative for the circulation.
