NI Commissioner for Children & Young People Visits the School
Mr Chris Quinn, Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, visited Carrick Primary School in Burren on Wednesday 23rd October 2024, where the School Council presented a Rights Respecting Assembly for the Commissioner.
After the assembly, the Commissioner met with the School Council and talked to them about their various roles and how they contributed to improvements in the school and beyond.
The School Council for 2024-2025 is made up of P4-7 children including: Olivia McHale, Grace Coulter, Ava Matthews, Erin McGivern Markey, Maeve McGovern, Annie Evers, Darragh McMeel (Chairperson), Ella Gray (Secretary), Elena Doran (Eco Representative), Freya Röhrs (Class Representative), Thomas Short (Eco Representative), Roise Moore (Headgirl), Aoibhinn McAllister (Vice Chairperson), Siofra Trainor (Treasurer), Emma Egan (Class Representative), Estelle Woods (Eco Representative), Leah White (Eco Representative) and Harrison Threlfall (Headboy).
The Headboy, Harrison Threlfall, and Headgirl, Roise Moore, presented the Commissioner with a card and a gift to thank him for visiting Carrick Primary School.
