Boys’ and Girls’ Indoor Football: Ulsters
Congratulations to the boys and girls from Carrick Primary School who travelled to Magherafelt to participate in the Ulster Round of the GAA Indoor Football Competition on Wednesday19th March 2025.
The girls played some good football and represented their families, school, club and county well.
The girls’ match results were as follows:
Match 1 Carrick Primary School 0-2 v St Anthony’s, Craigavon (Armagh) 2-1
Match 2 Carrick Primary School 2-1 v Gaelscoil Cois Feabhaill (Donegal) 3-3
Match 3 Carrick Primary School 0-5 v St Mary’s Threemile House (Monaghan) 1-3
Match 4 Carrick Primary School 3-3 v St Anne’s Belfast (Antrim) 1-1
The girls’ panel consisted of: Sarah Quinn, Áine McAteer, Siofra Trainor, Niamh McManus, Evie Connolly, Ellie McPolin, Elena Doran and Aimee Murtagh
The boys also played some good football and were also a credit to their families, school, club and county.
Their match results were as follows:
Match 1 Carrick Primary School 2-3 v Bunscoil Phobal Feirste (Antrim) 0-1
Match 2 Carrick Primary School 0-1 v Ballinagh National School (Cavan) 4-1
Match 3 Carrick Primary School 5-5 v St Mary’s P.S. Maguiresbridge (Fermanagh) 1-0
Match 4 Carrick Primary School 7-1 v St John’s P.S. Kingisland (Tyrone) 4-3
The boys’ panel included: Thomas Short, Darragh McMeel, Harrison Threlfall, James Murney, Darragh Murtagh, Leo Byrne, Cillian O’Connor and Conor O’Hare
Well done to both panels and thanks to Jim, Daniel, David and Sean for all their hard work and encouragement. Good luck to the boys and girls as they embark on their league campaign.
