Visit by Mr Dave Wiggans from the Walk, Wheel and Scoot Trust
Dave Wiggans from Sustrans came to Carrick on Wednesday 1st October 2025 and spoke to the boys and girls about healthy journeys and the benefits of walking, cycling or scooting to school, or part of the journey.
Dave also explained about how making healthy and active journeys to school helps the environment as there will be less fumes in the air, helps keep us fit and healthy as we are getting exercise, saves families money as they are using less fuel in their cars, makes the roads and entrances to schools safer as there are less cars and helps to keep our minds healthy too.
Thanks to Dave for organising this visit. The children really enjoyed it and learned so much.
